What kind of nursing allows you to have holidays off? And I mean like not just the holiday like a day or two after. I have family far away and it’s so hard to see them with a nursing schedule :( .
I enjoy working in Quality - specifically as a Quality Analyst. Weekdays only and holidays off.
It is entirely dependent on the policy of the company that you work for. Some companies, say perhaps LTC or rehab, allow this with plenty of notice, and no one else has put in for the time frame. Also, Case management (not in hospitals), is Monday-Friday, with holidays off anyway, you just need to put for the extra time needed. I Case Manage for PCP providers, and our company allows, but we have to find another CM to cover our time off, always. When applying interview, the company also, and this would be a question to ask them.
Yes!!! School Nurse is the way to go!
School Nurse. You get weekends. Holidays. Spring break and summer off. The money is much less but you enjoy family time . It’s worth it.
None. Most nurses have to work at least 1-2 holidays. Most nurses are told that holidays are given off by seniority.
Travel nursing gives you time off between assignments. And if you time it right you get Xmas new year’s off.
