any NC nurses out there? how much do you get paid? i’ve been a nurse for almost 10 years — and i definitely feel underpaid.
$41/hr and 13 years experience
I am a school nurse with 37 years as an RN. I get paid $30/h as a part-time nurse. I retired making $35/h. Keep in mind, I work 10 months and have weekends and holidays off with great hours. Now I work Mon-Thurs 9a-2p Hospital nurses make a good bit more
I make 119k a year as a Nurse 3, step 10 at the VA.
I work for the state of NC Department of Adult Correction. I've been here 3 years, worked my way up to lead nurse. With several raises the state has given lately, I don't believe I could go anywhere else making what I am now. Maybe as a travel nurse, but I have never done that.
Where are you in NC? Seems to me pay is associated with larger networks. I was at a peak at ten years but when I left ICU/ER to go to a clinic level of care the salary went down so I decided to add teaching to the role which adds value. I think the size and affiliation network determines salary. THoughts?
State Psych Facility I have been RN, BSN since '99. Started as CNA 40 years ago. Weekends 12 hours $73k plus shift premium but only base counts toward retirement
43$ 12 yrs experince
It's lower than northern states unfortunately.
OBX NC
Just got a raise to $34 with 12 years experience with critical care, hospice and public health experience.
You should try other companies. Im sure you’ll get a higher pay +10$ maybe? if not they will only give .50 - 1$ increase every year 😅😅😅
