I’m coming up on almost a year of nursing. I’m curious about how difficult or easy it is to get in the ED once I hit that 1 year mark. I completed my preceptorship in the ED, but essentially it’s useless to any place hiring. Thoughts?

Talk to the nurse manager of the ED where you work now and let them know of your interest.
If you have friends working in ED; talk to them about openings where they work. Build your network and stay in contact w your network. Be as cooperative as you can while maintaining standards.

You completed the preceptorship in the ED but did not work in that unit after?
