Iโm my experience supplies are provided per the patients needs. However, you should always have disinfecting wipes to clean your day to day equipment. Basic things to buy would be pulse oximeter, B/P cuff, stethoscope, scissors, and thermometer. A trunk organizer is also very important to have. Even when you have organized things, if they are not secure it will become a messy nightmare. I wish someone would have told me when I started. ๐ Hope that helps.
The home health companies should be providing you with the basics for your home health bag. Mine did.
Most companies give you a company bag with supplies to take into the home for your visits. I would always keep extra new patient packets, wound care supplies and lab draw supplies in my car. I got a handy plastic tote that had a handle on top, the lid underneath had small sections to store alcohol swabs, band aids, and other various smaller items. Underneath that part was a normal container section that I kept my bigger items in. I kept it in the trunk and it helped keep things very organized.
