What can healthcare do to continue attracting diverse talent to nursing, and how has your own journey shaped your perspective?

Wages should be raised to meet the standards of a male dominated profession. Through my career as a nurse and now as a school nurse working close with educators, both female dominated professions, it is clear to me how unfairly and underappreciated teachers and nurses are. Oh they say we're the "greatest" but the dollars don't follow. Not to mention that Mother's Day, Teachers' Day and Nurses' Day are all in one week: let's get it over with, right boys? The concentrat less on getting men into the nursing workforce and more on supporting the women that have been there since the beginning.
