How do I obtain a travel nurse opportunity as a newly licensed RN?

You really need experience because learning a new role and new locations will be difficult. They probably won't hire unless minimum 1 but more like 3 years and depending in which departments. I would go to a busy trauma center to get the most experience. Good luck!

- Preferably work in an Emergency/ Trauma unit or even a Day ward for @least 1 year to get exposures & experience first!
- You need to know the Geographical areas very well.
- know exactly what kind of travel nurse is required e.g Phlebotomy, Community vaccinations or general travel nurse .
- The only way to find out is by applying. The employer will decide if they prefer you to have experience or not!

You need at least one years experience.
