I am in a residency program as a new grad ED nurse. I am struggling to keep up. My preceptor says I’m doing good. But I feel overwhelmed and underprepared. I am so anxious about starting on my own the end of May. What should I do?

It takes awhile to learn everything. I started by making sure my patho was solid. That way I could give solid report to the docs. Develop a relationship with your team. The doctors are usually very good about helping you grow independent because it makes their job easier, so let them mold you and just soak up as much as you can! You got this, go in their confident in your abilities and remember we all learn new things every day especially in the ED!
