I am looking for a job position located near Columbus, Ohio for RNs. I would love to be a labor and delivery nurse. Anyone know who hires new grads? Thank you! :)
I grew up in northern Ohio and came to Columbus to go to nursing school. The four main hospitals in Columbus at that time were Ohio State on the campus of Ohio State University; Riverside Methodist Hospital, owned by Ohio Health and located on Olentangy River Road north of Ohio State; Grant Hospital located on the south side of downtown Columbus, and Mount Carmel, a Catholic Hospital located on the southeast side of Columbus. All four have labor and delivery units. Columbus is an academic town that still has three nursing schools and as afar as I know, new grads have never had any problems obtaining a job in their area of interest at one of the hospitals. I worked at Riverside, Children's Hospital (on the east side of downtown Columbus) and taught at Ohio State and loved everywhere I worked.
I've lived in Dublin Ohio since graduation, and Riverside Methodist Hospital recently built a satellite Hospital in our beautiful community. It also has an L&D unit which primarily services Dublin, Hilliard and Plain city. It is a smaller, hospital, but to me is very welcoming and nice and you'd stay busy but likely not be as overwhelmed!!.....Hope this helps you out. GOOD LUCK, and welcome to the nursing profession!!
Ohio Health hires new grads and they have several campuses.
Ohio State is a big teaching institution. Apply for a new grad internship in the department you want work in! The worst case would be a no.. but you don’t know until you try!!!!
Yes any one new grades
