When should you remove nursing clinicals from your resume?

June 26th, 2024

Remove clincals once you are hired into your first position. IF you change specialties - for example, you have worked in med-surg for 1 or 2 years and now wish to go into pediatrics or psych, you might consider including those clinicals on an updated resume, especially if your rotation was to a well-rated children's hospital or psychiatric facility. The updated resume is a visual check to show the recruiter that you had some undergrad experience in such-and-such environment. If you have been out of school more than 2 or 3 years, do not list clinicals on your resume when switching positions.
