Digoxin, nitroglycerine sublingual, occasionally if on a fixed dose, they will recieve Dopamine, however only through central line as it is toxic to the tissue if infiltrating.

It depends on the size of the Cardiac team-if the team is smaller, the NP will handle a variety of cardiac patients, including heart failure and patients recovering from cardiac surgery.
On a larger team, there is more specialization, including heart transplant, cardiac Electrophysiology, cardiac surgery including CABG or valve replacements, heart failure, and cardiac catheterization lab. Transplant patients require drugs to reduce the chance of organ rejection, cardiac surgery patients may require antibiotics, Electrophysiology patients may require rhythm control meds, etc.
