Anyone knows a place that hires or is willing to hire an RN with a license probation? I've been a psych RN in CA for 13 years and my license recently got put on probation after a security guard assaulted patient. Been having a hard time finding work.

I would contact the State Board of Nursing with a detailed summary of your involvement that ultimately lead to the probation.

I'd first like to know HOW in the world does YOUR license get put on probation for what a security guard did??? That doesn't even make sense! If you had No part in it, I'd be fighting that!

I have worked in outpatient dialysis for about 15 years now and they generally hire nurses on probation. I have seen narcotic restrictions the most. We do not have controlled substances in the outpatient setting so….
