How would you handle a situation where you agree with the patient's self-diagnosis and not the dr? Would you keep your thoughts to yourself or tell the patient to get a second opinion?

DEFINITELY TELL THE PATIENT...the nurse is the FOREVER advocate for the patient...NO alliance to the Doctor..

Without hesitation, I definitely would and DO encourage patients to seek a second opinion ❣️ As a nurse, I am a patient advocate FIRST💝 My obligation is to my patient’s health and well being 🙏🏾 I’ve gained the total respect of many physicians due to my ability to assert myself with them during advocacy🙏🏾 #patientsafetyfirst

So, as a team member you should be allowed to express what you think. However, there needs to be science based evidence to back you up. It is not just about how you feel or what you think about the situation. What about family members and other team members opinions?
