Steps to renew your Louisiana nursing license
- Verify the status of your license
Visit the Louisiana Nurse Portal to confirm the status of your license. Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses are biennial licenses that must be renewed every fall for the next year. For LPNs, visit this verification page. LPNs must renew their license each year.
